Abstract :
We have shown a novel large-channel-count wavelength-selectable laser diode source using non-amplifying current-tunable semiconductor Fabry-Perot filters. This approach allows for fine tuning of the comb filter to precisely match the ITU WDM grid with relatively simple off-the-shelf technology, reducing restrictions on manufacturing tolerances of essential subcomponents for such multiwavelength switchable DWDM sources
