Abstract :
Expatiate the concept and design process of lean production (LP) cylinder liner product line through implementing LP concept and technologies in rework on cylinder liner production line. A reconstructive scheme-U-shaped production line was contrived based on the technologies of facilities layout, work study and efficiency analysis, industrial system diagnose. Optimization algorithms and procedure are developed to solve the U-shaped line balancing problem. According to the rework scheme and optimization procedure, the standard operation regulations were constituted. The implementation of the standard operation regulations has reduced the product cycle, decreased the worker number, eliminated the waste and increased the productivity efficiency. The research can offer reference for the construction and balancing research of the similar production line
