  • Abstract
The boundary element analysis of the integral equation is a general numerical analysis method of an electromagnetic field. It has the advantage of easy treatment of an open region. The authors propose a novel combined integral equation which can be applied to general electromagnetic fields in a cylindrical structure and analyze it by the boundary element method (BEM). The integral equation does not have the difficulty of the non-physical solutions. It has some merits in that it does not contain the derivatives of the unknown quantities and the coefficient matrix of the matrix equation obtained by applying the BEM is a square matrix
