Abstract
Discusses the use of diakoptics methods for solving equivalent electrical circuits analogs of Maxwell´s equations. In this work a mathematical formulation is given which allows large multielement equivalent networks to be decomposed into smaller more manageable subnetworks, comprised of elemental networks which maintain the properties of the original governing equations. Subnetworks are manipulated on a piecewise basis and then reassembled to extract the field quantities that are required. Throughout the work parallel computation techniques based on the transputer as an EM field coprocessor for a PC are exploited. Some sample results are shown for a rectangular cavity hybrid coupler
