Abstract :
A computer aided design package for the synthesis of rectangular waveguide broadwall slot array antennas has been described. The package differs from preceding contributions in this area in that the self admittances of the slots are computed, rather than taken from a data bank of measured values. The self admittance computations rely on the use of the moment method, which is known to be potentially as accurate as the best measurements is evaluating slot self scattering effects. The resultant CAD package has been applied to the design of a linear slotted-waveguide array. Near field measurements on the array have been shown to be is reasonable agreement with theory, once certain constructional limitations are taken into consideration
