Abstract :
CLASP (Culham Laboratory Advanced Scattering Program) is a new computer code for the simulation of the electromagnetic scattering from metallic, dielectric and magnetically permeable bodies of arbitrary shape. The code is based on Kirchhoff´s integrals in the frequency domain for the scalar and the vector electromagnetic potentials, and the method of boundary finite elements (also known as the method of moments), in a Galerkin formulation. By these means, the analytical expressions for the electromagnetic field are converted into a system of linear algebraic equations, which are solved to find the current density at the given frequency on all parts of the scattering body. The scattered electromagnetic field may be calculated directly once these currents are known
