  • Abstract
    Using a passive optical frequency interleaver, together with optical FDM systems, we have successfully demonstrated a two-channel 25-GHz-channel-spaced 10-Gbps-per-wavelength DWDM system, BERs better than 10-12 were obtained with no observable BER floors and negligible power penalties. The optical frequency interleaver can be redesigned to be intrinsically athermal
