Abstract
Many studies are now focusing their characteristics of photonic bands, photonic bandgaps, propagation and bend losses. Potentials of waveguide devices are various. I expect some demonstrations of integrated devices based on microdisk lasers and photonic crystal waveguides to inspire a new field of micro-photonic circuits
