Abstract
A number of companies in the United States, such as QualComm, Millicom, and others, have proposed CDMA as a means of increasing the capacity of cellular systems, and have claimed that significant increases are possible. CDMA is not normally particularly bandwidth efficient. The author proposes the use of a technique called mCSK-not in itself novel-whereby its throughput may be increased significantly, to well in excess of that of TDMA
