Abstract
The control of a quasi-resonant dc link inverter (QRDCLI) comprises the control of a resonant circuit and the control of an inverter bridge. In this paper, the control of a resonant circuit based on the acquisition of voltage and current signals is discussed. Then, for the control of an inverter, a modified space vector PWM (SVPWM) is discussed. A conventional space vector modulation requires 6 resonant cycles per a switching period, resulting in poor DC-link voltage utilization. A modified SVPWM technique requires only 2 resonant cycles per a switching period. The performance of the modified SVPWM is verified by the experimental results. The total control of a QRDCL inverter is implemented in a FPGA.
