Abstract :
In this paper we focus on a replication decision model. Using an extensible decision model a distributed file system will be able to take the best action to prevent or to properly address disaster situations. BBUFs is a decentralized peer-to-peer distributed file system used here as case study. The file system is designed for ordinary Unix machines that are IPv6 capable.
