Precise location of facial features by a hierarchical assembly of neural nets

This paper describes an automatic method for locating facial features using arrays of neural networks. The method uses multilayer perceptions (MLPs) for localised feature extraction followed by global post-processing for robustness. The authors have found it to work on a small test set of images, with very low positional errors for the micro-features, and more extensive testing is to follow
