Abstract :
Material supply management for vehicle assembly workshops usually suffer from message delay and waste of stock, which seriously holdback the reactivity capability of production system. As a rapid, real-time, accurate information collection tools, radiofrequency identification (RFID) technology has become an important driver in the production and logistics activities of todaypsilas information-based industries. This paper presents a RFID-based material supply management system in automatic vehicle assembly streamline for monitoring and managing the material consumption of each workspace real-timely. A prototype system is finished in detail eventually.
