Abstract
In this paper the results of different cable test techniques were compared. On the one hand the classical 50 Hz method for partial discharge detection and on the other hand the very low frequency method - VLF - at 0,1 Hz was examined. Additionally the oscillating wave method was applied onsite in an aged medium voltage grid with several joints of a local utility.
