Abstract
Considered is the problem of electromagnetic wave absorption in a two-layer spherical lossy dielectric head model partially covered with a metal helmet and illuminated by a dipole antenna. We use the method of analytical regularization to reduce the problem to the matrix equations with favorable features. This enables us to obtain basic absorption characteristics and compare the efficiency of shielding by different helmets. Our analysis can be useful for a control of specific absorption rate levels in the sensible tissues disposed to a microwave antenna radiation.
