Abstract :
This paper describes a new method on determining the optimal size of the buffer, which is used to accommodate disruptions in production process and provide maximum throughput of the production system. The new method is based on thoroughly considering seven factors that influenced the determination of the stock buffer under multi-product. Furthermore, to validate the proposed buffer determination model, an example is illustrated and a simulation model is also developed
