Abstract
We have demonstrated all-optical switching in a nonlinear directional coupler loaded with a Bragg reflector, where the probe and control lights have different wavelengths. This type of switching operation corresponds to the situation where a local pump source is used to demultiplex or switch the data present on an incoming probe channel. Further investigations into improving the on-off ratio (high to low output level) are now under way
