Abstract :
This paper presented a broadband and high-efficient compound printed air-fed array with very low profile. By incorporating mushroom AMC base, its bandwidth and aperture efficiency are improved significantly. By utilizing sub-array technique, it could be combined into a larger array for much high gain applications. The design examples has validated the principle and exhibited practical performances.
