Network management system graphical interface

The description of a graphical user interface is presented. This interface is used to construct and manage graphical entities representing telecommunications network objects. Based on the X Windows System version 11 standard, the network management system graphical interface allows the user to build his own window environment on the controlled system through an interactive editor using OSF/Motif toolkit. All events of the controlled network are monitored modifying graphical attributes of objects on the screen. The network management system graphical interface runs on a Unix based graphical workstation which is connected to the controlled system through a host computer, via an Ethernet LAN, using a TCP/IP protocol
