Abstract
The 3 dimensional anatomical data visualization is necessary for better understanding and describing of functionality of anatomical parts in education process and medical treatment. This paper proposes a platform that provides 3 dimensional visualization of the VKH (Visible Korean Human) data. The VKH is an extensive real image database made on the base of photographs of sliced in 0.2 mm intervals dead body which has been rapidly frozen. The VKH is used as foundation data for traditional biology, research in medical fields, and building realistic 3D images. Our proposed system represents the textual data in standard tree-form, where the user can select, search, and control 3D elements presented in the 3D window. Currently, the platform for 3D data targeting the human head is developed and the platform will include the entire body parts in the near future.
