  • Abstract
Parallelism concepts that can be used to realize high-performance communication systems are described. First parallelism based on the structure and functions of communication systems is considered. A discussion of relevant memory concepts follows. A protocol description language (PDL) developed to allow automatic construction of communication protocol stacks with parallel structure is outlined. A parallel protocol implementation is described, and measured performance results, which are deemed promising, are reported
