Generation of material flow control via simulation

Simulation has become a widely used technique for aiding the design, development and operation of complex systems. The material logic embedded within the simulation could, theoretically, be used as a basis for the implemented control system. This is impractical at present due to the unpredictable structure of simulation models. This paper proposes a methodology which enables users to build models of predictable structure which are amenable to data extraction. This methodology yields a framework encompassing both modelling and linkages to real systems
