Abstract
Regarding gain and SLL, the new lens antenna concept has better focusing abilities compared to the column antenna. Pattern perturbations due to lens edge effects were analyzed with regard to digital array processing. They can be confined either with an appropriate choice for the lens length L and the xlscr,i of the radar sensorpsilas receiving ULA or with narrower feeding beams in the H-plane.
