Abstract :
Deals with some important image processing methods for the TV display and the corresponding visual impression. To get a better understanding of TV display requirements to be redefined with new TV systems an overview on certain properties of new TV systems is given. Upconversion techniques including edge enhancement algorithms for high quality flicker free HDTV displays are discussed. Some conclusions for processing architectures are given
