Abstract
This paper presents a new current control method for active power filters. This method uses nonlinear controllers instead of the traditional linear controllers. This paper demonstrates that the proposed method has good dynamic response. A comparison with the deadbeat current control and the proportional-integral current control shows that the performance of the nonlinear current control method is superior.
