Abstract

This paper presents a system for checking code numbers between on a credit card (CC) and a paper of personal information (PPI) using optical character recognition (OCR). The process starts to get both CC and PPI images from two cameras. Such both CC and PPI images are cropped with only the region of code numbers and then they are resized by linear interpolation. They are converted to binary images of value (0 or 1). Finally, the OCR is applied for checking the code numbers of the credit card and PPI. There are 100 samples for testing the credit card and PPI. Both credit cards and PPIs include 10 numbers (0 - 9). The result shows that the accuracy of the checking system on the credit card is at approximately 100%.
