Abstract
The authors present a robust approach to seismic horizon extraction based on the framework of dictionary-based probabilistic relaxation. The algorithm is insensitive to thickness of the line features to be extracted. The initial state probabilities are characterized by a set of 1D directional filters which are designed to enhance linear features in the ways to produce best locality, minimal number of false responses and maximal suppression of noise. The algorithm generates good laterally continuous seismic horizons single pixel wide.
