Abstract
In a secured multicast application, members may join or leave frequently and key management is one of the most challenging problems. In this paper, we proposed M-CLIQUES key management protocol. It is the modification of CLIQUES that consists of two stages. The first stage is static CLIQUES in which static group controller is used to distribute the partial keys. In the second stage, a hierarchical structure is employed to support larger member size. The modified CLIQUES is found to be more scalable then CLIQUES and require less processing power than the key tree-based approach
