Abstract :
The communication scope, strength depth and its relationship to the social-economic activities are studied about the external communication from the households in the countries in west China based on the telecom communication charge. The following is the results. Except for the local province, the main scope of the external communication for the study region was the comparative developed regions in the littoral area of east China and the average communication distance was 962 kilometers. The external communication strength had the strong correlation with the farming seasonal character as the short and long-distance communication strength were stronger in summer and autumn than in spring and winter when the farming activities were not busy in the study region. The short-distance communication strength was a bit stronger than long-distance communication strength that the long-distance communication had well developed. The average proportion of a household communication total charge accounting for its net income was 50% of the average in China. It indicated that both the communication development and the social-economic development wee still in low level in the countries in west China. For the households of the highest net income, the communication scope was wider, strength was stronger and depth was deeper than that of the households of the lowest net income. There was a bit difference between the months of spring day and earth quake about the external communication scope and strength. In general, the external communication from the households in the countries in west China was relation to the conditions of economic development in China, especially to the phenomenon of peasant workers flow. Peasants took part in constructing the process of urbanization and industrialization and their households partly, discontinuously shared the outcome of urbanization and industrialization with the low-level, which would ameliorate in a certain degree with the amelioration of - - economic development in the countries.
