Abstract :
A new linear complexity algorithm using weighted combining is proposed for multiuser detection (MUD) in macrodiversity for synchronous DS-CDMA. Error probability expression is derived for weighted combining based receivers and a framework for finding optimal weights is proposed. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed algorithm compares with the optimal maximum-likelihood (ML) MUD under various situations.
