Abstract

CSCW (computer supported cooperative work) is a system designed to improve group communication while alleviating negative interactions. Just-in-time (JIT) purchasing is a philosophy centered on the reduction of costs through elimination of inventory. CSCW based JIT purchasing management in many industries has been successful in reducing inventory and increasing the overall effectiveness of purchasing function and hence the productivity of manufacturing. An illustrative example APNM shows on CSCW based JIT purchasing management for improving the effectiveness of purchasing function
