  • Abstract
Reevaluating the traditional testing methods and exploiting the versatility of today´s computer architectures can realize a dramatically different approach to computer motherboard testing. The PCI bus, and its incorporation into modern personal computers, provides the technology for realizing a revolutionary, new method of motherboard testing. Functional testing through the motherboard´s PCI bus provides a tool for greater flexibility and an increased in efficiency over traditional testing methods. A PCI bus-based motherboard functional testing process demonstrates that it can provide an alternative solution to the existing high-production motherboard testing methods
