An expert system to help dispatchers deal with faults in Northeast Electric Network

The authors present an expert system used in power system dispatch centers to help dispatchers to deal with faults in power networks. The expert system developed is a standardized intelligent program written in PROLOG language, based in collected expert knowledge and used in the power dispatch center of the Northeast China Electric Network. Practice shows that the expert system is an excellent auxiliary tool to help handle power system faults quickly and correctly
