Abstract :
The authors deal with the problem of industrial process scheduling in case of failures in supply or technological system and limitation of maximum value of energy demand. Two approaches are presented: dynamic programming and expert systems approach. Experience resulting from the application of a dispatchers´ assistance program in metallurgy is discussed. Progress in computer software and hardware has allowed the construction of a Prolog based program for PC computers. Using the reasoning mechanism included in PROLOG, the program generates dispatchers´ scheduling. An example of scheduling for a simple technological system is shown
