Abstract :
Power system dynamics have become more popular and important concerns in many utilities, including the Taiwan Power Company. The authors describe the construction and features of the Power System Dynamic Performance Monitoring System (DPMS), including the Real-Time Dynamic Monitoring System (RTDMS) for monitoring the systems dynamic performance, the Load Transient Data Recording System (LTDRS) for monitoring substation loads and Plant Transient Recording and the Analysis System (PTRA) for monitoring the plant dynamic performance during major disturbances. Typical recorded data and results of analyses are also given to illustrate their performances
