Abstract :
Load flow analysis is undoubtedly the most useful method of designing and operating a power system. The authors describe a useful algorithm for load flow calculations on a tree-like network of distribution systems, using a decomposing network manner. The proposed algorithm can be implemented directly and efficiently using microcomputers with limited storage capacities. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, tests were performed on IEEE 5, 22 and 58-bus distribution systems. It is attractive for accurate of approximate offline and online routine and contingency calculations for radial distribution systems
