Abstract
The angle resolution, accuracy of angle measurement and anti-clutter performance of a conventional radar can be studied by the use of the so called "two-way pattern". But for a frequency-scanning radar, the simple two-way pattern can not be used to evaluate the antenna performance. In order to overcome this difficulty, the conception of effective pattern of frequency-scanning radar antenna is proposed and the utilization of effective pattern is demonstrated with several examples in this paper.
