  • Abstract
The authors introduce the newly completed power system simulation laboratory in the Energy Systems Research Center at the University of Texas at Arlington. This new and unique laboratory is a scaled-down three-phase physical model which correlates well with the important components of a real power system. Its configuration is sufficient to simulate significant system behaviour, such as transient and dynamic stability phenomena and all forms of steady-state operational phenomena. This physical model provides a unique opportunity for operator training as well as for validating digital simulation accuracy of each component
