Abstract :
Some pairs of slot antennas with different slot widths on silicon substrate were designed and analyzed. Numerical results show that compared to the dipole antenna pair with a resonant frequency of 10.5 GHz on low resistivity ( psi = 10 Omega - cm) silicon substrate, the slot antenna pairs have higher transmission gain. As the slot width increases slightly, its transmission gain can be improved significantly. As a result, the silicon substrate with low resistivity has little effect on the slot antenna gain and it can be used in wireless interconnect or WCAN.
