Abstract :
The TVBS antenna for the Italian region calls for the provision of a high performance feed system capable of handling two orthogonally polarized communication channels together with a beacon channel which allows accurate tracking of a ground based beacon source. The downlink (LHCP) and the uplink (RHCP) are widely separated in the frequency plane and cover 12.1 to 12.5GHz band and 17.7 to 18.1GHz bands respectively. The beacon channel (RHCP) is allocated a nominal spot frequency of 17.3GHz.
