Abstract
The 1996 National Electrical Code (NEC) was published in September 1995. This paper reviews the changes that were made in the types and uses of electrical wire and cable normally utilized by a pulp and paper industrial facility. It address revisions to tray cables for open wiring, instumentation tray cable, MC type cable, parallel conductors, MV insulation thickness, direct burial conductor ampacity, electric vehicle charging cables and insulation and jacket thicknesses.
