Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to consider the differences in quality, reliability and performance levels of the energy efficient motor when compared to previous generation motors. Only the three phase squirrel cage induction motors covered by the 1992 Energy Act are covered in this presentation as compared to "standard" motors.
