Abstract :
The performance of the Daubechies (1988) wavelet filters in random signal processing is studied. By using the operator matrices of the compactly supported orthogonal wavelet transform, the quantitative indices of the Daubechies filters in data compression, generalized Wiener filtering and transform coding is obtained. These values can be compared with the other orthogonal transforms
