Abstract :
Manual fingerprint verification is used for property documents. The purpose of finger print verification is to judge the identity of a person. This task is performed by comparing the collected fingerprints samples with input fingerprints. Fingerprint patterns are extracted by creating an inked impression of the fingertips on paper. This method produces low quality fingerprint images because of non-uniform spread of ink. When these fingerprint images are verified digitally the results are not accurate. In this paper, a mechanism is proposed that automates the offline fingerprint verification for property documents even with low quality images. The fingerprint verification of property document (FVPD) system of verifying the fingerprints is discussed and presented. Experimental results show that the suggested mechanism produces better results compared with other available techniques.
