Abstract
The paper considers an extension of LaSalle´s invariance principle for the investigation of the stability of an impulsive dynamical system. In particular, we show that the existence of non-increasing Lyapunov function is not sufficient for stability, but that an extra condition on the impulsive vectors is required which depends on both the magnitude and the direction of the impulsive vectors
