Abstract :
A new algorithm to locate receivers buried in the earth using low-frequency magnetic dipoles is presented. It is found that if the earth is modeled using horizontal layers and the system is noiseless, ground-zero can be located exactly. Resonably accurate depth estimates can also be obtained.
