Abstract :
This paper presents a general, computationally efficient method for predicting an ultrasound field in lossy media, from data acquired in a water bath. The technique relies on the measurement of-the ultrasound field performed with a large aperture hydrophone (LAH) and data comprised of the set of all angular measurements. Prediction of the space-time pressure field at any point is then possible (and easily achieved) in homogenous lossy media. The approach is general in the sense that his valid for continuous wave, pulsed, unfocused and focused fields. The technique is inherently three dimensional
