Abstract :
The capability to transport the full HDTV signal on channels equipped with wide bandwidth media will play an important role in the future for raising applications in professional and semi-professional areas. Referring to the optical fibre medium and knowing the incomparable possibilities offered by transmission on such a medium, Thomson-CSF an analogue HDTV transmission system (components R,G,B, synchronisation and audio signals) on one singlemode optical fibre. The analogue HDTV signal is issued from a 1250/50/2 HDTV color source. The system is designed to transmit R,G,B components, but it can also transmit the Y,Pr,Pb components indifferently
