Abstract :
The introduction of D2-MAC/16:9 signals with or without encryption will be one of the most important developments in the coming few years. Very recently, a Dutch study was completed on the performance of D2-MAC/16:9 with EUROCRYPT in cable television networks (CATV). The article describes the findings in general terms, explains where problems still lie and makes recommendations for furthering the smooth introduction of D2-MAC/16:9 signals with EUROCRYPT in European cable TV networks
