Abstract :
The potential advantages of using spread-spectrum systems and the current methods of planning the UHF TV band for ancillary services have been examined. These techniques have been combined to show that a greater number of multipath-resistant ancillary service links could be accommodated if spread-spectrum techniques were used. Such links could be planned using the conventional techniques which have been developed by the BBC
